It's not a spectaculair moment.
Not even special behaviour.
Neither was the light fantastic.
As sleeping fox kit certainly isn't the rarest thing in the world.
And yet....it's one of these photos that still moves me when i see it.
For me, the softness of the fur and so sweet expression represent their cute and innocent nature so perfectly...
And watching this perfectly happy 'smile', I feel my own smile arise...
So far, this 'ode' to my own work π..Just hoping this fox baby makes you smile as well

There was a fox family in a forgotten garden we could watch from our window once and it was delightful to see the cubs feeding from their mother then later on playing together and teasing their father. I even saw one cheeky enough to pull on his Dad's tail then run away. In other years we used to see a solo fox curled up asleep in the long grass in his favourite spot and sometimes a cat doing the same a metre away, then other times we would see the cat alone or the fox alone sleeping in the other one's spot. This photo reminds me of now contented the fox looked dozing with his eyes shut enjoying the afternoon sun.
