Another commissioned art. I love to paint horses so I was really looking forward to do this commission.

I love this!

The shading is amazing - the use of highlight and shadow makes it look so realistic

If you're worried about people downloading this - if you click "edit" on this image, you can untick the download option, so it won't be available to download. Just so it's not possible for people to steal this lovely piece of art

Thank you, glad you like the usage of the highlight! I guess I add that on purpose.

Yeah, I already know the "download" function. Does not mean a thing. Because if you click on the image with right click there is a "save image as" option. I do add watermarks to every art I do, that definitely makes it harder to steal my artworks. Would be great if more people would understand copyrights...

 Thanks for your kind words.

Oh, I didn't realise - that's frustrating! I hope they change that

It is possible to change it, but it is hard to do. I saw a few sites that already made it more safe for users to have their artworks displayed. But most of the time you can even download the image file from the HTML code. So the best thing we can do is to put that ugly watermarks on the artworks.

To be honest - if you can display it on the screen of your computer, then you can download and save it, there is no technical possibility to prevent it (only make it require more work at best). The other way is only to look for unauthorised usage of art on the internet and sue anyone doing it, but it's long and difficult proccess.

My exact words. Although it makes harder to a layman to download it since they not may aware of the possibilities of a website, so it does prevent a lot of downloads.
I even tried the second thing - suing others. BUT. And here's where difficult process start: many countries do not have laws against illegal copyright usage (China for example) and next to that you can not do anything with a few sites (ebay) only to try to submit a report on the site itself. Suing others only possible if they use it commercially in country that does have laws for copyright cases. If they just submit the art for "fun", and they own the website, you cannot do anything. You can report on Facebook, tumblr, pinterest etc and that's all.
