Countess Coloratura Mane and Tail Bases by

Here's something I felt like making because I haven't made anything in a really long time now due to things I'm doing in my normal everyday life. ^^

For a while now, I've been wanting to make a pic of Countess Coloratura because I really like her alternate design when she's a pop singer. Yes, I still love her other regular design when she has her blue mane and tail in case anyone is wondering! ^^ I still remember the first time I saw her when looking around for random MLP YouTube videos. Yep, I listened to both of the songs that Rara/Countess sings in the episode (to which I thought was really awesome and sweet. ^^) and at that time I really wanted to make a pic of both versions of Rara/Countess that appeared in that episode though at the time, I pretty much couldn't pull it off due to how complicated it was to make the two long ago but since my art skills have improved, I was able to finally make Countess Coloratura and she looks really awesome! I especially love the way her ponytail turned out once I finished.

As with most MLP pics, I of course used my own special technique to perfectly make Countess Coloratura though one thing that I made a bit different was the transparent face veil that Countess wears. I thought the original design for it looked a bit off when I tried to include it in the pic up above so what I did was make an original design for it and I actually like it a lot. To me the face veil looks more like what a hardcore pop star singer would have but that's just my opinion, I just really like the lager more rounded design. I think the shading on the face veil looks really nice and a bit realistic from my perspective. One thing I couldn't include was the purple clothes that Countess wears and the reason for that was that despite that I'm very good at making clothes for ponies in previous pics, trying to make Countess' clothes was actually kinda difficult to make due to the insane amount of detail it has. Yeah, I always try to add the best amount of detail to every pic I make but even without the clothes, Countess still looks pretty good in my opinion. ^^

The background took a while to think of because I knew fro that start that I wanted it to be a stage background like how it was in the actual episode though I couldn't find anything that look close to what I wanted to use for the background of the pic. In the end, I decided to make a background of my own cause I thought it would be much better. For some reason, I somehow found making this background a bit challenging but thankfully I was able to make something that looked pretty cool and I liked it. ^^ I added some background glowing lights along with some blue fire that launching out from nowhere like how some singing rock stages have and although it looks a bit simple, I kinda liked it. Yes, I always have a hard time trying to make backgrounds of my own but that's pretty much how I'm able to make them.

Anyways, I think Rara/Countess Coloratura turned out very awesome as the sound of thunder and..... yeah. That's pretty much all I have to say about the pic! ^^
