Description
One by one the eggs hatched. The shelves grew emptier each passing day, and the aunts came into the hatchery less and less, until there was only one silvery egg left. Weeks, months...... Time passed infinitely it seemed.... Mother was about to give up on the last egg, when at long last, it began to glow red.
"Finally, good morning little one.... Sixty-Six, hmm...." Mother tapped her chin before setting to work, sewing together some fabric and embroidering the numbers onto a black and white scarf. There hadn't been any collars left over, and being the last one to hatch, most of the other spare accessories were already given away. Not that the little baby would care though.... "You sure are a lucky one."
Mother couldn't have been more wrong....
