Is it a donkey? Is it a Komodor? Who knows?

Out of all of the donkey breeds I know, the poitou has to have one of the most striking coats I've ever seen. The tradition cultivated on Île de Ré where the donkeys get to wear pyjama-like clothing made them an obvious choice when I was to choose a donkey breed for the next CS illustration.

Thanks! I read that some time ago the pajamas had a protective purpose against insects because the donkeys worked on salt marshes.
