Description A Tengu, a Japanese crow spirit.  They can range from pesky jokers to truly villainous, but are on occasion known to be friendly enough to teach people things.  They are strongly associated with both war and mountains.  In later periods they could be viewed even in a protective light.  Supposedly they taught the yamabushi (warrior mountain monks) their ways, and are the ancestors of the ninja.  Pretty dang significant mythological beings!

Though some were depicted as being humanoid birds, later periods depicted them as human, albeit with very long red noses, especially the most powerful tengu, whom also usually had epic facial hair.  I decided to take the red face/nose aspect into the bird aspect here and present it somewhat roughly, as if the Tengu itself had painted its face and beak with some sort of red dye.

The feathers on the wings took a lot of special effort, but I am happy with how they turned out.

This portrayal is great; especially the wings and head in terms of texturing. That's one Crow-Tengu I wouldn't want to duel... Great work, TA.
