Description This is from a gruesome zombie film by Lucio Fulci called "City of the Living Dead"(AKA "The Gates Of Hell"). I drew it from from a small, faded magazine still and improvised a lot of details. It was drawn in black and red ballpoint pen on paper.

Thanks for the comment. Yes, it is a violent and gory film.

Seems that way, but I think the drill scene is the worst of it.

Cool I like those pieces a lot more than the " abstract " ones. Expression is good but my favourite is the colour used not the motive

Recognised this scene straight away, Fulci is amazing. I like that it's really focussed on the horror in the face rather than the drill in the head. Great stuff.

Man, City of the Undead wasn't my favourite Fulchi film (my favourites being "The Beyond" "Zombi" and "House By The Cemetery"), but it definitely had its gruesome moments, this scene being one of them.
Bob seemed to have potential to be a main character too in the film, but alas. His life ended so abruptly, and yet oddly fitting.

Anyway, this looks awesome. I love the overall grainy look and the blood looks rather nice and realistic. His agony is quite obvious. All in all, excellent work.

Thanks for the nice comment. I am kind of partial to "The Beyond" myself. I think visually it is Fulci's masterpiece.

Excellent work! I just watched the making of featurette on this movie, and learned that they attached a wax tip to the actual drill bit, for the skull penetration with the live head.

Thanks for the nice comment. I prefer older special effects. They look more realistic than a lot of the CGI we get these days.

yeah I'm a sucker for old films, often got a really earthy disturbing quality to them, rough round the edges, just like life, I lke alot of new films, but sometimes they are too smooth and slick for their own good
