hmm, ballpoint...maybe i should give it another try, as i've been using mostly expensive "art" pens, and have created nothing close to this good...well done..i wonder how you blend it...tortillon?

Beautiful texture and shapes all over! It never ceases to amaze me what someone can do with a ballpoint pen! I have never tried the technique and only recently discovered its use in the art world.

So many lovely shapes, I see spirits swimming through the atmosphere and a face breathing out smoke! Those gradations must have been tedious to accomplish with a pen

I like that this piece works on a few different levels. First, of course, from the purely visual, with such striking contrast and rich variety of texture and technique. And, according to your description, there is obviously a symbolic aspect that one could delve into.

Rich imagery! I love the application of the ballpoint pen. In many areas, the shading is so exquisite that it takes on the feel of graphite. Wonderfully rendered, and great control of composition to guide the eye!

I really enjoy the surrealist rather than abstract elements in this drawing. It has a wonderful atmosphere; it makes me think of a psychedelic dream scape as well as something robotic and mechanical. I really enjoy the part above the center with the plain background as it creates a focus point in the abstract construction.
