Description Just now I noticed there's a praying mantis on the back door in my office which leads to the balcony overlooking the backyard. I think it's the same one I saw with my yellow roses. Anyhoo, I tried getting a clear picture of it but I think this is about as clear as I'm going to get. In this one it looks like the mantis was looking right at me, I like praying mantises but I'd rather look at them, I wouldn't hold one in my hands plus they have front legs that pinch.

I don't know what to say except that is is incredibly amazing and precious. Every year I watch praying mantids hatch and grow up in my yard, and for two years in a row I've had one come up and visit me in my bathroom window at least once.
I love praying mantises so much! They are my second favorite animals after bats, if not tied with.

Wow, that sounds so awesome. I like praying mantises and bats too, I prefer those two critters over spiders any day of the week.

That's neat that you have a praying mantis. Here in Arizona we have cicadas, dragonflies, and grasshoppers. LOL! I haven't seen a praying mantis here but I have in Hawaii. I guess he likes Rainbow Dash on your window. Cool!

Yeah, of course we moved it into the backyard the next afternoon. I've heard and seen cicadas (don't care for them), also seen dragonflies which I love, don't think I've seen grasshoppers around though. Yeah, the mantis probably did like Rainbow Dash.

That's neat! LOL! Sometimes cicadas can get annoying. One thing I learned about them is that they like hot weather. That's why we have tons of them here. They sing really loud. Sometimes almost sounds like high pitch electricity charging up. LOL! You see dragonflies sometimes flying. LOL! That's cute! He has a crush on her. Sometimes when I go out for walks I see grasshoppers hopping. They camouflage sometimes hard to spot them.

Yeah, cicadas are too ugly and noisy to me. That's the thing with most insects, they like hot weather. Dragonflies are pretty, I love seeing them fly around. You're right, having a praying mantis around is awesome but one that's a Brony. I used to see grasshoppers when I lived in VA but I don't think I've seen any since I lived in PA.

Looks like the Mantis was a Brony.
