Used a rough artistic brush on 20% opacity and started with red and orange tints for a rough definition, then used white on 30% for the hot centre. Then added some blue and yellow for the gas fire look. Goes rather well after 2-3 hrs of practise . Thanks for the kind comment

Thank you for telling me your master secrets. i'll try to practise it sometime (when I get my tablet to work again because drawing with a mouse is become more and more tedious to me. )You very welcome. It is well earned. ^^ I mean you make great artwork.

Thank you What tablet you've got?

Your welcome. Uhhm I wondered do you have any tips on how to make scans look good? The scans of your pencil artwork look really beautiful. Maybe my scanner just sucks. The tablet I use is called Bamboo Fun Touch & Pen. I tried to get used to but lately I lack the time. Quite unfortunate but as soon as I have the time I'll spend it on practicing.

Well I think just about any scanner except the pro stuff sucks. I use a HP Scanjet G3010, which I bought just because it was 50% off. I scan at the highest possible resolution, than I load the image in Photoshop or GIMP and convert it to B&W to remove coloring spots, up the contrast a little, and add my autograph. It's simple enough and works because except my large pastels I don't use any colouring. Dont know any tricks to scan those yet, thoughWell, practise makes perfect I've spent at least 10 or so hours until I knew my tablet, and I still feel like it could be better... Drawing on computer is HARD

(sorry it took me like forever to reply to this)Hmm. Well I have just found out that it's not my scanner that scans so bad... it's infact Photoshop that destroys high resolution scans. For some odd reason my copy of Photoshop stopped being able to produce high resolution pictures for me... Not even new drawings and changing the resolution settings doesn't work. I have to either reinstall it or learn how to use GIMP again... since I forgot how. ^^Oh I hope I'll learn it one day. School leaves me too little time to learn it now though. Thank you a lot for your many advices.

No problem Hey, if it may be a little comfort... if you think you've got little time now, once you're a "grown up" you find you'll have no time left at all But don't fret though. You'll learn. If you want to bad enough. Every time I have a moment to sit down and practice my craft I find my skill to be improved Cheers, and good luck!

Yeah I know and I am really looking forward to that. People around my try to tell me how wonderful it is and that everything gets much easier and what I am saying is not valid and all that. I still think that it is only going to get worse. And I always thought that as long as I can remember.Yeah. -IF- I have hardly any motivation to do something. Which is also a reason why I don't draw as much anymore. It's all just exhausting. Thank you. Be well and have a great day. :3
