I'm really sorry for late entry. I struggled with this entry for a long time, recolouring it many times. And RamaChan asked for a drabble. Ahem, be prepared to brain lock. Sorry for all mistakes, grammar and others (spare me I'm not an English speaker, just liked the picture)

“Nara-san,”
Here it goes again, Shikamaru thought.

“Can`t you move a boy a little bit to the right…”
To where he stood, like, five minutes ago.

“…And the girl`s hair seems to be too fluffy…”
Guess that`s what happens when you overdose it with an “extra volume” hairspray.

“…And I highly recommend that you all change into something more formal. At least your husband. Since it’s supposed to be a clan family photo…”

“No,” she interrupted it at last, “It’s supposed to be a family photo for the clan. And the concept is to reflect our close family relationship in the lightest form possible. That’s why we set our choice on the outdoor photo”.

And that was also why on the sunny day like this they had nothing to do but to take a family portrait together.

It’s not like it was the first time. The idea “of capturing every day of children`s growth” occasionally drifted in Temari`s mind and there had been days like this before: of photosession-slash-hide-and-seek with Temari being a photo hunter (and a very dangerous one) and him and children playing helpless victims (always giving up in the end). It was quite troublesome, but at the same time rather funny, at least for children.

But today was different. When Yoshino asked for a fresh photo for the clan album, Temari suddenly decided, that this one should genuinely reflect their springtime of youth (Shikamaru always knew it was a contagious disease) and for whatever reason asked for a pro to take it.

Thus it had been already 2 hours of constant hair combing, changing shirts, expressions, positions, poses, sceneries. Like these trees weren`t absolutely alike.

“Moooom,” Asuma urgently tugged at Temari`s sleeve, “but my shoes reaaaally hurt…”

She squatted down to him and patted him lightly on the back:
“Come on, Asuma, you are already a big boy. Practically as big and as scary as a shinobi ” she started.

“Reaaaaally?” he asked with his eyes suddenly gleaming with hope and excitement.

“Yeah and shinobi are brave and do not whine,” she continued, knowing that it was ultimate technique to stop the complaints “…and what do they do in such situations, honey?”

“THEY SUCK IT UP!!!” he screamed, storming off and starting to imitate some monster shinobi jutsu close enough to scared photographer to make him flinch and try to cover his equipment from this “monster-like” kid.

Shikamaru sighed. This was getting ridiculous. Kids were getting bored and hungry, Temari was getting more and more irritated, which meant his lifespan was getting shorter and shorter with every minute… and only this stupid gayish-scarf photographer seemed the same pain in the ass with his good for nothing artistic taste. Troublesome, but it’s time for some action.

“Temari…Don`t you think…

He didn`t even get to finish.

“You heard what your son said, Shikamaru. Suck-it-up!” she hissed angrily. “If you can`t do something useful, at least don’t get under my feet”.

After saying this she rushed to Hatsune, who was trying to take a sip from her strawberry milkshake, which was forbidden. ("You damaged your shirt after all...")

Okay. Operation “Save Nara Family”, plan A “try to affect your wife” failed. Proceeding to plan B “use teamwork”.

“Hey, Temari, I`ll deal with it myself” he took the tissue and started to clean off Hatsune`s shirt “You go save Himura-san from Asuma”.

Temari glared at him doubtfully, but decided to leave him alone and deal with the problems.

“So, Hatsune, do you remember the misinformational studies that aunty Ino used to talk about…”

“Mom, what are peasants?”

Temari looked at her surprised and then at her outfit, trying to figure out, if Shikamaru really was able to clean it.

"Peasants are like poor farmers, who earn their living by working on the small piece of land, growing rice, wheat…”

“Are we peasants?” Hatsune asked innocently.

“What?” Temari snapped. “No, Nara clan is an old powerful family with traditions, respect and …hm…money. Whoever told you this, is wrong”

“Yeah, but this man told Asuma, that we’re behaving like wild peasant children…”

Temari winced.

“And that this whole concept photo is suited for some simple farmworkers, not for ariscra…aristo…ariscratorics…

“Aristocrats, dear,” she corrected automatically. ”What else did he say?”

“…and that thanks to your hairstyle you look like a field score…scarecra…

“Scarecrow, dear,” Temari finished and reached for her fan. “Go to your dad and tell him we’re gonna have a peasant dinner in a minute”

“And you?”

“And I have some scarecrow missions to complete.”

“What do you think of this one?” Temari asked. He dropped the book he was reading and glanced at the photo she was showing.

“It`s nice,” he simply stated. “Like the other hundreds too”.

“No, this one is the best. Hatsune and Asuma are so happy here. Heck, even you’re smiling” she added with a content smile.

“Of course, they are happy. Their mother just defeated the Evil, who tortured them all day. So heroic,” he smirked.

“Don`t be jealous, crybaby, or I’ll have to make some more photos to prove my ruling positions in this family,” she said with a teasing smile, crawling closer to him.

She was obviously in a nice mood. And it was obviously nice.

“Hn, that’s an interesting challenge,” Shikamaru smiled, closing the book completely and reaching for her.
“Shall we try?” No more reading for today.

“Just one more thing, Shikamaru. So that you know, making children lie is not the best educational method”

“It’s called misinformation, Temari. Misinformation for the sake of the mission”.
