Description *New description*

After finishing this picture, I thought it looked vaguely familiar, but I couldn't place it. Then I realized it is similar in part to one of M.C. Escher's work. Of course, his incorporates an optical illusion and a brilliant paradox, and mine does not whatsoever, hence the title.

I took pleasure to re-draw your picture, it was pretty long and hard but now it's done

hmm, love it!
very escher-esque, yes. I love the first staircase on the left because it compares to escher's piece so well!
good choice with the duotoning. this is an effect I shall have to give a try sometime.

one suggestion: a higher f-stop would've been kinda cool, to get ALL of the staircases more in focus at once. but I would guess that this photo was taken in a lowlight area, and if so, then that would make said higher f-stop rather impractical, eh?

splendid as is, though!

Yay great shot. How did you create this color effect? It's nice. I always wanted to take a shot like this. I remember a photo with similar idea was featured a while ago, but I like this one better.

Thanks. I used Photoshop to convert it to black and white, then added a duotone (black and dark green).
