This has been sitting in my favorites for a while, and it struck my attention tonight.
I find that re evaluating this makes me fall in love with it even more.
Ignoring the fact that this is a contest piece, it's absolutely a stunning photo shoot.
The details in this are really wonderful. First glance you probably don't see there's a beta fish up in the the bag. The tube from the bag to the arm actually looks like it's attached. The model's facial expression is exactly what I'd picture on someone who no longer cares about life, due to a drug addiction. Not to mention the walls are peeling as one would imagine a drug addict would live in. Also the pale colored clothing is well pale, and therefore makes me think of less life. It makes me think of a wash out which could be someone who has no use to live.
Overall a very stunning piece that really grips the art viewer's eyes! Thank you for sharing this piece with us.

I am not sure if its considered hdr. If you mean, did I use separate exposures to create the hdr effect then nope. I did alot of dodging and burning and also high passed the layer and set it to overlay but only brushed in certain areas of the image. Then did alot of different adjustment layers for different parts of the image

The detail in this is really what makes it. The contrast of the tattoo with everything else, and the fish in the IV bag... Nice work!
