Description Going along with my little cloud theme, this is a stormy cloud keychain. Originally there was supposed to be an umbrella charm underneath the raindrop but I messed it up when I was painting it.

This is keychain includes three charms; a cloud, a lightning bolt and a little rain drop. The charms are handcrafted from sculpey clay, baked, painted with acrylic paint and then coated with glaze to make them strong. I used stainless steel to form the hooks and they are attached to one another with stainless steel jumprings and rings. There is a keychain at the top that has an approximately 1" diameter. The charms all hang vertically so that the keychain is about 6" long.

The cloud measures about 1.25" wide, .5" tall
The lightening bolt measures about .5" wide, 1.25" tall
The rain drop measures about .5" wide, 1" tall

this is so cute, tiff. How did you get inspired to start making these charms?

I saw them around here and there. Some sellers did a really great job and some weren't very good and I wanted to start making them but I wanted to do different things. :icon oborochan: makes some and I saw she just recently did a Pokemon set (after I posted mine). She's very good but always does a lot of the same things. acrylicana is really really popular but I think her work is pretty low quality.... I wanted to charms related to my interests, like the Link charms, but also really cute ones that were different because they were more complex or themed (like this keychain). Wow, that was a long answer. I just sold another one tonight! It's so exciting when you sell one because you know people are enjoying your art. I try to keep my prices low, just enough to really cover the cost of making them but I still bad because I think they are too high. What do you think?

well, I think that you need to make at least a little profit, or at least break even until you start to pick up. then you can raise the prices a little so you can make SOME profit for the labor that you put into it. that's so exiting! someone bought some! that's amazing, tiffany! ahhh, it must feel really surreal, right?

It's exciting. I'm getting business cards and going to a craft fair in November I think. I don't know id I have enough time to make like hundreds of charms though so I don't think it can ever be an actual job though it is a very fun hobby. Most people have hobbies and don't get any money back so I think of it that way.
