Description
This basically is a side project to a bigger picture i’m working on. Maybe a quarter of the left side of the full picture. I cropped the area off the big pic and thought the composition and atmosphere looked great. This had to be a pic on its own. This pic gives you a glimpse of how detailed the complete one will be in the end. I still have to do a lot of work on it so it will not be out any time soon. Also have to finish other things off within the next weeks.The title results of the feeling i have when i look at the pic. I always say i would love to see coruscant (starwars) like cityplanets. But could i live there? I guess it would drive me crazy.
The pic was done with matte painting techniques… but i decided to give it a painterly look in the end. So it’s far away from being photorealistic, which wasn't intended anyway. Rendered in vue desprit and detailed in photoshop.
Wallpapers will be available as soon as the full image was completed. It’ll be quite a nice cityscape with some sweet atmospheric lighting going on. Stay tuned!

oh man, i clicked collection, and there were soo many of your beautiful works i think my hand will drop if i commented on them all! i love the addition of birds at top right near the lighted building, it makes this piece more lively, and not just filled with concrete!

You know what's cool? I had checked out Epica first and had noticed the left fifth of that painting was a seperate picture in and of itself. I decided not to say anything...but it looks like you already figured it out for yourself. Good job.

Sehr schönes Bild, aber als Hell kommt's mir nicht vor...vielleicht liegt es daran, dass die Scene hier gerade so schön und ruhig rüberkommt durch das Licht...wer weíß schon, wie es unter der Tünche aussieht?

hey grad check ich so die neusten uploads von den leuten, die ich watche, da is doch glatt dein Elysia drin lol. Irgendwie is diese startseite bei mir fucked. aber nevertheless dacht ich mir, ich schreib dir ma nen commen now, denn mir´s aufgefallen, dass sich deine fertigkeiten in den letzten 1 1/2 jahren echt ganz schön verbessert haben
bin echt auf das final piece gespannt.

Wow - well I think I could live on such a world for at time at least. And in certain parts of it. Have you read Asimov's foundation preludes? Then you might remember Trantor, which was the rôle model for Courasant. Trantor is very intelligent and detailed described in those preludes. Asimov describes everything from upper class areas with hanging gardens over slum to gated societies of extreme religious people. So I guess there was "a place for everyone" in those cities. Although being a Swede I wouldn't do it without the wildlife and the endless forests and the ocean. So I'd prefer another kind of planet rather soon.

this is sweet. I love the name of it. This is what i think hell would really look like a matrapolise with no plants no animals and no water to bad theirs birds in this lol their sweet though really good work tig keep up the great work!
