My first attempt at Swat Kats for mt friends Whitewolf and Kazari.I can't seem to mimic the cartoon's original style.

No need to mimic the original style, actually they look better this way.
I loved the show, but the main characters looked so cartoonish, Have you seen the episode "mutation city"? Chance and Jake were drawn with a more realistic style pretty much like yours.

OMG, bro, I LOVE this! It's gorgeous! And you got the guys perfectly! LOVE the look on Chance's face. For you first attempt, this is lovely.
And you've come closer to the show's original style that a LOT of SK fanartists that I've seen. So don't put yourself down, you did excellently. I like the guys drawn in your style. I hope you do more. Don't neglect your main stuff, though, okay?
