Description
Bottrop is one of the places to go if one is interrested in finding the german interpretation of fucked up rust belt industrial city. Heavy industry and industrial ruins line the scenery, the magnificient beauty of river Emscher adds it's touch and a strongly varying shape of bad to okayish neighbourhoods round the whole thing off. After beating overgrown and (sometimes) non existant sidewalks, I finally ended at this spot.... where a "shed" (class 66) appeared after a bit of waiting. The coal refining plant in the background btw still is active.
