Wow I love the sketch of Spyro <3 Thanks for giving him that original cool, badass attitude he was born with I'm a fan of the original trilogy of course and you definitely did him justice here. Very handsome expression, too! Coolness

I was pretty obsessed with the original Spyro when it came out when I was around 11 or so, so that's mostly how I remember him. Thanks!

Definitely! That was my very first Playstation game I specifically asked for that one for Christmas that year LoL The purple dragon w/ the cool attitude never fails

Eee!

*Glomps Johnny fanart*

I haven't seen this guy around for awhile. Strange to think it's one of the things that got through high school sanely.

Haha glad you like it. I think it had the opposite effect for me in high school, fit into all the emotional craziness of the time.

Naruto and Sora have some of the best poses I've seen. So much dynamicness (is that a word?) in them, and the expressions are great. So far I recognize about every one of your fan projects, except maybe some of the ones in the first batch. You think you'll ever label them all? Or is not labeling them sort of the basis behind this project?

Haha to be honest I think it's fun to hear people try and guess who they are. But there is no particular reason I'm not labeling them. The characters in the first batch, clockwise from top left, are Ash and Pikachu from Pokemon, Linus from Peanuts, Anakin from Star Wars: Episode 1, Cale from Titan A.E., Simba from the Lion King, and Lucky from 101 Dalmatians (though I guess more specifically, from the television show). The only character you might not know from the second batch is the one in the upper left, who is Van from the anime Escaflowne.

The real purpose of the project is just to push myself to draw. Doing fanart gives me an excuse of not having to think up subject matter, and just focus on expressions and poses. Plus it is fun to see how these characters translate into my current "style".

Ahhh that makes sense. I dont think I could recognize Anakin too well nor Van of course. Anakin just never crossed my mind but now I can definitely see it. This looks like such a fun project, if I could ever get back to drawin again, I know this is something I would enjoy doing myself

It's been really valuable to me to encourage myself to draw more and to have more confidence in my drawings. I think having more confidence has made a huge difference in what I draw and how much I draw.

Old school Spyro rocks!~
I hate how Sierra changed him so... I loved that little purple badass, lol...

Hmm... I know all of them but the dude with the floaty bunny head thingy...

I was around 10 or 11 when the first Spyro game came out -- I played it so much I actually memorized the strategy guide. I used to draw Spyro all the time back then, before I got into drawing Pokemon.

The dude with the floating bunny is Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, and Nail Bunny. They look quite different in my style compared to Jhonen Vasquez's style. @.@;; I haven't drawn Nny probably since 2003 or 2004.

I know the first game by heart myself. Been thinking on playing it again, lol... I can get through each world in less then an hour when on a role, lol...

lol... yeah I got that just after I read the post below mine when I posted that... I was all like, "Johnny? Who's John- Oh... that Johnny, lol" I know about him, but only because a friend has the comics though I've never read or really looked at them, thus why I didn't recognize him, lol...

Haha yeah I used to be able to get through the entire game pretty quick!

Yeah I was really into JtHM when I was like.... 16. It's something that resonates when you're a teenager and jaded, but seems kind of ridiculous in retrospect years later. xD

My two favorites have to be the spyro and Johnny sketches :3

Love the action poses on the bottom half.
