Shortly after the digital world and the human worlds were fuzed together, the spirits of the digimon killed in the human world were able to pass back into the village of beginnings. For some, it hadn't been too long of a wait but for others, whole decades passed and their data became corrupted, scrambled, or altered. When he woke, Wizardmon found that not only was his memory gone, but his voice was gone as well. He did, however, retain his old scars to include that of his mortal wound. Confused, lost, but still feeling a sense of purpose, he began to wander as he had in his past life. He was looking for someone, but he didn't exactly know who. The number eight kept returning, just a tickle in the back of his mind.

A century passed and many of the original tamers lived their lives, started their families, and passed away. When Kairi passed, Gatomon was unwilling to bond to someone just so soon. She had lost so much in her life and finding Kairi alone had been a painful struggle. Shortly after Kairi's passing, Gatomon vanished.

It didn't take long for humanity to see the potential in the digital beings that shared their world. Soon the military itself became especially interested in their potential and began recruiting. Most entered freely, but there isn't a single branch of government that goes without corruption. Rogue digimon, those without tamers or a trace in a tamer's digivice, were scooped up and brought into facilities to have their data enhanced. If a super virus could be created and successfully injected into one of the digital beings, the country who held the digivice controlling it would have a definite advantage over the rest of the world. Unfortunately, Wizardmon and Gatomon were among those that were taken.

Gatomon wasn't certain, just yet, that the Wizardmon sharing her cell was anyone in particular. After all, there were others. Regardless, she shared her story with her cellmate for lack of anything else to do to take their minds off their shared fate. The story unnerved and almost haunted the Wizardmon. When the mortal wound was mentioned, Wizardmon revealed his scar in confusion.

"It IS you."

Little headcanon that and I came up with for these two. ... We promise it gets better. XDDD But a reunion was definitely needed because nothing was okay about them killing off Wizzie just as Gatomon got her memories back. 38 NOTHING.

It's not my greatest but I'm pretty sick right now but I wanted to get it done regardless. XD Everyone seems to like the digi stuff, I'm having fun drawing it, and it's helping me with my own style to draw other things.

... I'm still mad at you, Digimon. STILL MAD.
