Yes, and part of her tail is gone too. As a pup her front leg and tail were cut off by her cruel owner in Romania. Some people in there believe that by cutting a paws, ears or tail makes better guard dog. Some do it for punishment or just out of sadistic satisfaction.

Once the leg got infected she was abandoned. Finnish animal rescue organization treated her and shipped to Finland for adoption. She had multiple behavior issues and is still very hostile towards strangers and other animals, so I took her to the farm where she get along rather well.

Horrible.  Absolutely horrible.   Wish I could say that we don't see that kind of thing out here, but we do.  Recently as this week.    

My sister is actually part of a group that adopts and foster's animals that have been 'abandoned'.  She took care of one litter of puppies that had been dumped along a dirt road in a box... one has Porcupine quill's in his snout.  She does me proud.

But I was going to say a local Book store has a 3 legged cat.  Poor puss got run over when he was a kitten... lost a back leg and his tail.  But doesn't slow him down.
