Description
Here's the final rendering of my tattoo design.

I did it in pencil instead of pen (cross hatching isn't very realistic for a tattoo). This photo doesn't serve it justice, hopefully by the holidays I'll have my scanner ready so I can actually scan the real piece.

basically... I brainstormed key terms/ideas and one of the things that came out on paper was this.

Main ideas: gin/guardian angel, husky/canine, heartagram (balance between love&hate, light&dark, I've always been fascinated by the symbol since I saw it, it's pretty.), and overall I wanted a calm tattoo design, very still, unlike the previous idea I posted (full of movement). I wanted it to seem almost meditative, it's basically watching over me... etc.

Gin was a husky that my aunt used to have I grew up with her, I believe she was the same age as I was. It was the second thing in my life that passed away. I still remember the exact date/month/year she died because that's how hard it hit me. I could NOT get over it (I was in grade 4/9.75 years old) so I'd talk to her and pray to her every night and I cried myself to sleep for a few days straight. She became my guardian angel, and even though I've obviously moved on, I still feel that Gin is there watching over me. So I think designing my tattoo based on her seems fit.

I threw in the heartagram because as Ville Valo *creator of the symbol* said, it's basically the new yinyang, representing the balance between love/hate, light/dark, good/evil etc. It's a balanced symbol, fairly neutral. I agree with that. You can't exist with only the heart/love/light or with only the pentagram/evil/darkness. I feel that I'm right in the middle of the two, I love people, I hate people, I do good things, but you can't live without sin. it's also visually interesting. I don't know how to explain it! X3

It's just a plus that the logo is used for a band that has made me pull my head out my ass and just... I dunno. I feel like I'm experiencing life now rather than just being dragged through it. I can relate to the music, and I love the sound. It's exactly what I've been looking for in... forever. A metal band that isn't overly hardcore/satanist/screamo but isn't whiny or... can't think of a word that sums up common, boring... modern rock that you can find on those variety stations. It's got that crazy ass powerful sound.

And like... if I can go to a concert and almost cry during certain songs because the music is so damn beautiful... then hell, I don't mind that this symbol also represents that band, and that I'm putting it on myself. Forever. I still love the Spice Girls, AC/DC etc after all these years *although I doubt I'd get a spice girls tattoo >.>;;* so it's not like I'll magically hate the band. When I like music, I love them forever as long as it's good music.

And yeah. I'm not getting it done in December for specific reasons, so I'm aiming for February, during reading week.

I'm getting this put on to me, you can't use this specific design, so paws off. It's personal.
