Well, we canΒ΄t know for sure. I mean, so far her only social interactions weΒ΄ve seen were with family (Qrow and Yang), so what if she just is a jerk to those she likes, so that these people give their best at all times.
Or maybe she has the same semblance as Qrow, which is why she prefers to keep her distance to people she cares for.
