You have a lovely collection of Marik(s) in your gallery (I call him Marik because I watched anime and I never heard they call him Malik) and I love them all. Just keep up the good work.

Yes his name is Marik. But in Japanese language there is no l.
Malik is a arabic name and means King. And itΒ΄s one of my favorite names!

Heh, I have my own theory about Marik. He's a descendant of an ancient Egyptian family, so he's definitelly not an Arab, he's a Copt, which in old Egyptian language means 'a true/real Egyptian' (many people think that being coptic means being an Egyptian christian; that's kinda reasonable, because the coptic priests are the true keepers of the ancient Egyptian culture). So, I won't call Marik Malik because he's not an Arab, but a true/real Egyptian. I know Marik 'lives' in the country where arabic is an official language since 7-th century I guess (Arabs took over Egypt then), he knows how to speak and how to write in arabic, but this definitelly doesn't make him an Arab.

It's logical. Marik was born among the tomb keepers and he's one of them by his heritage. In my point of view they are Copts, or true Egyptians.

Now I remembered one more thing. There's a character in Croatian mythology named Malik Tintilinich. He's a dwarf and the leader of the home fire keepers. He's always happy and funny. And we Croatian call one specific male thing Malik Tintilinich. I don't know why, but it sounds funny. So how can I call Marik Malik?
