Description
I know it's a little early for Christmas, but then I thought what the heck.

I decided to draw jolly old St. Nick aka Santa Claus. Some people may not be familiar with the origins of the big man in red himself.
For those who don't know, Saint Nicholas was a bishop during the early days of Christianity. It's said throughout his life he went around giving money to the poor and left toys in children's shoes as gifts. Back then Christmas hadn't been invented yet as an official holiday.

I tried to base his character design on both the modern day Santa and the original source material. You can see him here wearing his bishop clothes and holding his wooden staff in his left hand. I'm pretty proud of how it turned out in the end.
