Wait! I did this? Really...? Cool!It's nice they thought ahead with an extra pod for William, but...couldn't they thought a little more on the ride?
As soon as I saw the skid change modes in the network, this wouldn't get out of my head. Poor Will, when he does get saved. Having that big whooping sword can't help either.
Even if there's some sort of gravitational thing to keep them glue to the seat, it's still gotta be awkward. Your up is down and vice versus. ----

Nice comic, the animation is simple but actuate and you've got the character's dialogue to a tee
I also pondered this and hoping it would happen in the show, I can't think of where the sword would go. Maybe it goes to the front of the nav skid, making it the only one that can do melee damage
I'm half hoping the first Skid episode of CL:Evolution will be based on this or at least William asks why he isn't falling into the glass

Ah yes, Evolution. I'm kinda apprehensive on how it'll go. I can't remember any good live action adaptions. The fact that it takes after DragonBall Evolution's name does not inspire hope.
It would be so sweet if they addressed this. Sadly, based on his Lyoko form they showing in the casting trailer, it looks like William's going to be put back in the villain slot and leave that last pod to hold dust rather than his derriere.

No no no, he's a good guy. Someone translated this poster [link] and the translation is at the bottom of this link [link] saying he will be a good guy (although there's no guarantee the translation is 100% accurate)
I think he still wears black because his lengthy time as XANA's puppet altered his lyoko form beyond repair, and his rejection from the team (or possible remnants of XANA inside him) made him a little darker, I for one would appreciated the change from Sixth Ranger Traitor to The Atoner or even Token Evil Teammate
I never saw Dragonball Evolution but I've heard of it's unpopularity, personally I'm giving CL:Evo a chance (though I've never been a fan of live action myself), it may be worse than the original, it may even be better. We know so little about it that none of us can draw that conclusion yet without making assumptions.
I wouldn't get too excited about it or we may be disappointed but if we get apprehensive we may nit pick flaws that aren't that big. Maybe we should view it as a new show unrelated to the original CL so we aren't judging it by comparison
As for live action adaptations that are good (or so I heard): The walking dead, Superman (Smallville), Avengers or any comic book movie and there have been a few good fan made Street Fighter videos on youtube if you want me to link them

Yeah, too much hype creates unrealistic expectations, and being overly pessimistic shoots it down before it gets out the door. It's why I've been trying to keep it at arms length and avoid jumping to conclusions so early. Not that it'll matter much. Pretty sure I'll fangirl the shit over it regardless. ^_^'

Code: Lyoko could have been a lot better (It's still amazing the way it is.) If the writers didn't rush into plots and actually thought about things. How did Jeremie even manage to materialize Aelita so fast? Everything was done too quickly! NYEH!

*sigh* Looking back at this, I feel ripped off at the CL finale. William never truly got his chance to shine. Even after he gets freed in the finale, Xana just possesses him again.
It's as if the creators never even wanted to add any new Lyoko characters. Just the same group from beginning to end, then add one just to satiate the fans before "killing" him off.

Not even William lasted that long! And as soon as he got out of Xana's clutches, he was pretty much drummed out by the gang.

And I was expecting a really epic finale to the long war against XANA. Like a two parter or three parter. I feel so cheated.

I know, I feel the same way. The only purpose William had was to move the plot along. After that, he was just THERE, a character needing to be placed somewhere each episode. They chose to drag out the 'XANA's warrior' to the very end. While the gig was cool, it' sad. They had potential to do more, with say at least one episode of William redeeming himself, or something.
The fourth pod was just a red herring to make us think William could join the fight. I find that the saddest of it all. =/

I agree. I mean that was probably the show writers worst mistake! Code Lyoko is great but sometimes things don't go as expected. I mean William's a Lyoko and we're happy that they decided to add in a Sixth Ranger but then they give us the Finger and makes become XANA's subordinate! I hate it when that happens.
