Description Reader, West Virginia

I saw this hillside, got out of the truck and started shooting. It was so bright with orange that I had to blink my eyes constantly, and never noticed the barn until I had looked through the camera. The colors actually hurt my eyes. This is all natural, no saturation applied.

The colors are again very beautiful. I would want this place from a whider angle with a little bit less sky.

Do that, my friend.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Beautiful!!! The only thing I would have changed is not having that green bush to the left in the shot. I know sometimes situations call for it but I think it draws the eye too much away from the orange.

Yeah I agree. Unfortunately I could not move farther right to take the shot because of briers and a fence (I was leaning against the gate shown in the previous shot) and you can't crop it out because that would eliminate part of the barn or the field. Maybe some time I'll try to paste a big corn shock there

I figured there was some kind of impediment as to why you wouldn't remove that green shock from the swarm of orange.

However, flames mean mess, tragedy, action, noise, cries, apocalypse, condemned souls, suffering,
while Your picture presents rather Heaven and
how a person can relax there

Great This is almost perfection, but I would prefer it without the green in the left bottom corner. It would be "cleaner" if you know what I mean? Just my opinion

TimLaSure In reply to Comane [2009-10-27 16:37:35 +0000 UTC]

Thanks! Yes, I feel the same about the green. Unfortunately there's no way of eliminating that part of the shot without taking away too much of the left of the barn I wish I could have stepped further right while shooting but it was nasty briers.

Too bad... But I agree with you, better green than half a barn

Wow the colours are superb, in my town the only colours are yellow

It depends greatly on the property owner here. If the land has been timbered in the last 30 years, it will be all yellow and brown, because the poplars always come in first. The areas that have not been timbered are a beautiful mix of oaks.
