okie yah thats better... i get what you did in the first one i like that alot but in the second one the magenta is like really over powering, like i try to look at gambit and my eyes keep flicking around the rest of the picture... i know this isn't a critique of your work i just wanted to share my thoughts

well magenta is the correct color for his powers and the glows coming off his cards, so you can't argue with that

It was a bit strong. I think however it was used to show contrast and allow the artist to see where the improvments are needed. For the one she posted of mine, I can clearly see where I need to make the changes.

This is a good critique but somthing i am a bit confused on is the link at the bottom were you say you've altered the page a little to better demonstrate links back to the funny little boy pic you did (cool pic BTW)
but you did the same thing in this [link] critique were you said you had monochromed the cards but again it links back to the pic of the boy...

Well, Tim, when I inked this way back when as a sample for my portfolio, I never thought I'd see it in color, so this was definitely a gift! Thank you!
With each piece I've seen you do lately, I can see the improvement. And with each critique or comment, you take that advice and try to do better. Good attitude!

Thanks Bill! I try to improve. I never know where I am going wrong or what needs improvment without critiques. Every bit of advice helps. I tried to get feedback from Digditalw Webbing's forum, but they are so quick to help one another there.
Nei has been very helpful and I appreciate all her help.
This piece was fun to color, and you are a fantastic inker. When I get caught up I'll try to color more of your pieces.

I actually asked Nei for a critique because my art CAN and does NEED roo be better. I wanted tolarn something from her since I admire her work
With that.. Thanks Nei. I have this PSD file still so I think when I finish the paid work I am working on, I will go back and work on the two pieces you critiqued.
I will say that I hated this era of Superman, I don't know what Mr. Carlin was thinking when hought of killing the character and bringing him back like this.
That said I colored it for the inker as a gift of sorts.
I will try and make the shadows pop a bit more, I am however not sure on how to make it more original.
