The second half is my favorite; the mystery and half-hinted forms, and the illusion that she's in a single split tree, the boldness of color and focus; it's clearly a brilliant work of art.
The first half doesn't happen to work as well for me, because, as I learned the hard way in a high-school drama class, an audience can't always tell whether a character looking lost and vague is a deliberate characterization or a lack of skill.
It's clear from the second half above that you're one hell of an artist, but if I saw the first half out of context, I'd be inclined to assume the kinda listless pose, the scattered lines of tree and shrub, and the faded colors meant you were an amateur still learning your craft. And that would be a pity.
I'm not sure why I'm being so pissy about this, except that the second pic RULES. I'd never be critting the first half at all if I thought you WERE anything less than a damn good artist.
Please forgive the crit, or tell me exactly to do with myself while spinning, yes? I just-- It frustrates me.

How is this relevant? Also why are you cyberbullying yourself if you're against it? That's just sad!
