Hi Chris great shot!
the flower is called " Spotted Joe-Pye-Weed",
Eupatorium maculatum. I have it over here in the states. the bees and butterflies love it.

Many thanks for the latin name. I've found it in my book now although I think it might be a slightly different plant - Eupatorium cannabinum known here as Hemp Agrimony. It grows in damp grasslands which is probably why I hadn't seen it until I started to visit wetland trusts for the wildfowl
