Description So here's how this story goes...

My dad bought me a new Canon scanner/printer for my birthday, and it advertised a website. So I visited, and it's all sorts of free arts and crafts to print out. Naturally, I pick the most complicated one that they have ;_;

This carousel was 26 colored pages of "fun" things to cut out, and 10 printed pages of instructions on how to put it together.

It took me, my boyfriend, and his little sister 2 days to cut everything out.
It took me 5 hours altogether to assemble this carousel.

Lesson learned - use a GLUESTICK, not TAPE, when assembling. The whole thing would have looked so much prettier if you didn't see tape sticking out everywhere.

All in all, I really love it. The amazingly awesome thing about it is that it really spins, and when you spin it, the horses go up and down, just like a real carousel!

It was ordinary printer paper. I recommend something heavier, though.

it would probably take me and my drunkard, sober and hippe pals one year to complete this.

Very nice for your first papercraft! I made this carousel, too, only I substituted a few of the horses for a couple of horses I designed myself. (basically, I just took a screenshot of the pieces and recolored them in photoshop... LOL!)

Have you tried any other papercrafts since this one?

Oh wow! That is such an awesome and fun-looking project! That's a lot of paper it took up and a lot of time. *_* It looks so cool though!

That's so cool that it really spins and the horses move
I would love to do something like that, but 1)my mom would kill me if I used up all her paper, and 2)I suck at doing these kind of projects. XD

Great job on it though
