Everyday you were picked on because of how odd you were. People made fun of your love of anime and how you just were. They were never specific, but to them you were always odd. But you never let the mocking get to you, knowing that you were perfect the way you were.

Today was different though, people were talking about someone else than you. A new kid a named Kiku, who came here recently. You walked through the hall and tried to find this new kid. Hearing the occasional, "He is so quiet." and "Have you seen the new kid?".

Then you saw him, brown short hair and brown dull eyes. You almost instantly fell in love with him. He then caught you staring at him, and he looked at you with wide eyes. Like he was mesmerized by you.

You looked away in embarrassment, but walked over to him, still determined to meet him. He stood still and had a small smile on his face, and with that, you felt more confident. You now stood in front of him, "Hi, I'm (Name). Kiku right?" You said with a grin.

"Ah, yes. Nice to meet you (Name)." Kiku said, being very polite. "Do you want me to show you around Kiku?" You asked, taking his hand. He flinched as you touched his hand, but then relaxed. "That would be very nice, thank you." He smiled.

With that, you showed him around the whole school. Missing your first 3 classes, but you didn't really care at the moment. You both talked and got to know each other as you showed him around. You learned he liked anime as well, and was very similar to you.

"That was pretty fun, but school is almost over." You said, still holding his hand.

"It was, thank you (Name)." Kiku said, thanking you.

"Would you like to walk home with me? I live close by." You offered, obviously liking his company.

"Yes." Kiku said, looking happy but somehow emotionless.

"Okay! Lets go!"

You had let go of his hand, after yours got a bit sweaty. The both of you walking and talking down the road. Even though people said he was quiet, he seemed pretty open with you. He was so calm of a person too, and he didn't judge you at all. But you were still uncertain of what he actually thought.

"Kiku, what do you think of me?"

"I think you are very smart, and very beautiful."

"O-Oh really? Thank you."

You blushed slightly and you could see he was a bit flustered himself. While you walked with him, he took your hand. You turned your head and saw the side of his face, a small smile plastered there. This moment was amazing, and just perfect, but your house was coming into view.

You still held hands with Kiku as you came closer to your home. You now stood in your driveway with Kiku, looking at him with sad eyes. "Well I got to go, thanks for walking home with me." You said, giving him a smile.

"You're welcome (Name)." He said calmly. Suddenly you kiss him on the cheek, only to pull away before he could react. "Bye Kiku, see you tomorrow!" You ran to the porch and quickly entered your home. Blushing madly as you closed the door, and smiling like an idiot.

Kiku stood there in your driveway, holding his cheek, and smiling.
"Thank you (Name)."
