Description Faris, the dazzling he-she pirate captain from Final Fantasy V.

I didn't even try to incorporate the sprite art on this one.... just wouldn't work. I used the portrait, the Amano art, and my own ideas.

I wanted to include Syldra...
but it would be too huge... -_-;;

"...and ladies who dress like men. For Gilgamesh, IT'S MORPHING TIME!"

Good job you did here. Faris is probalby my second favourite Final Fantasy character (After Auron of course).

Thanks! That quote from Gilgamesh is one of the funniest lines in the game XD

Doesn't she have purple hair?

In the battle and overworld sprites, yes. And she has a totally different costume. But Amano's character designs and the portrait sprites depict her more like this.

I think she'd look best with Amano's costume and her sprite hair.

Nice Sarissa, there should be more FFV artwork around.

Ah, way to capture the gender ambiguity!...but I do say, that is an awkward way to hold a sword.

Yes! The ambiguity was successful!

The sword scabbard is attached to her belt, so she's not really holding it. She's just resting her hand on the hilt.
