BACKGROUND: Lulissa Thomas was sadly always kind of a dim bulb compared to other kids. For most of her early life, she was gifted at dancing, culinary arts, and eventually gym class. Especially cheerleading, which came to be her subject of expertise in school. Yet this did not make up for her rather abysmal grades. Something that persisted all the way into her years as a barely-keeping-up college student, in Georgia.

Yet her life of academic underachieving veered into some very unexpected territories, when her friends picked the wrong place to hang out. Near the Center of Disease Control, where a "Big Bang Incident" (aka superpower-giving chemical explosion) occurred. From there, things got gradually more disastrous! She was confiscated by government officials for an "Anthrax Contamination" leak, which turns out to be a weaponized mutagen made to create artificial super-soldiers. Her social life fell apart as others thought she was infected by something contagious. And she was finally replaced on the cheerleading squad, leading to the reveal of her powers. Which proceeded to accidentally cause millions of dollars in collateral damage, before she thought to escape from the police.

More incidents of this sort later, and she eventually decided that being a villain was her fate. She figured, she might as well enjoy her new life of infamy and crime. Which leads her to become the destructive, yet bubbly, girly and sympathetic hoodlum you see today.
