FULLBODY REFERENCE

Name: Vesper Solis
Age: 39 years
Gender: Female
Pokemon: #406 Vespiquen
Height: 6’00”
Bodystyle: Lanky and pear shaped
Birthday: April 16th
Home Island: Affection Atoll

: Personality :

(+Studious) (+Detailed Orientated) (+Flexible) (=Quiet) (=Shy) (reamer) (-Stiff) (-Pushover) (-Distracted)

With a naturally regal atmosphere and a stone like expression Vesper can give off a very haughty first impression to others. Coming off as calm and dependable if not utterly cold - something unhelped by her naturally curt way of speaking to others. She holds an intimidating first impression that is likewise nearly completely inaccurate to who she actually is as a person.

Vesper is truthfully a quiet, honest person who’s really just horribly clumsy when it comes to social interactions. She gets incredibly nervous very quickly when meeting new people. With an unfortunately stiff knee reaction and no idea how to express herself appropriately in words or body language. Vesper more often than not can come across unintentionally angry or arrogant to others. Something she’s often mortified by once she walks away from an interaction. Occasionally she’ll try to clarify the situation. Though In her attempts to later try explaining the misunderstanding her curt words instead push the misunderstanding and the cycle repeats.

Someone stuck in her own head and who gets easily distracted by her daydreams. She develops absurdly high expectations of how situations would play out due to this - even if the situation itself would never happen. Vesper works hard for all she has and at her old job was considered a great asset for her forward thinking and understanding. Able to think on the fly and correct herself while catching even the most subtle of problems. Though she’s hesitant to try new things, when she does she takes her time to carefully research and consider all aspects. Not letting one thing slip up to ensure the highest quality she can.

A genuinely kind person who adores getting to know others despite her inability to really show it. She desperately wants to be liked and understood by people. Which can often just lead to her being taken advantage of.

: History :

Cursed with a stiff face but blessed with loving parents and a stable life Vesper’s early child wasn’t all that different from anyone else's. Her parent’s. Both astrologists with a romantic worldview would often take little Vesper to the botanical gardens near their house. Spending hours looking at the night sky, sharing stories and knowledge with their little girl. Summer’s she'd go to her grandparents farm. Play on the nearby beach, pick apples with her grandfather, watch her dad struggle to catch the Miltanks for milking. Little Vesper’s favorite activity however was painting the beautiful country scenery with her grandmother. Times she remembers fondly even now.

As she got older this passion for art remained. Entering high school she’d begun to think seriously about her future. What job she wanted and what she wanted to study further in college but honestly the more she thought about it the more it became abundantly clear to Vesper that studying anything other than art was completely out of the question. Though her parents were supportive she could tell they were also worried about this choice. Of course she knew. Art wasn’t the most stable of jobs. Thus in consideration of this she decided to try and have her cake while eating it, looking into degrees and jobs that were more easily accessible while still allowing her to pursue her passion.

At twenty-one she stepped into her first job. Peppy and ready, for years she wanted to get into the art industry in some capacity and now here she was. Interning at a large scale Ad company in the big city. Well. The ad industry wasn’t really what she’d originally hoped for, but Vesper was sure she could branch out to something better in future. This was just to tide her over. The job however was not what it appeared at all. Certainly her creativity was flowing and the work she offered her employees was great for a beginner in the field but everything was so streamlined and cold. She couldn’t do things with her own flare. Vesper’s beautiful works often tossed aside or reworked so they could ‘fit better with their demographic’. Slowly whatever spark for art Vesper had extinguished itself, her passion had just become another 9 to 5 job. Unfortunately to a young Vesper money was more important in the moment - thus rather than quitting to find something else she stuck around. The days turned to weeks, the weeks to years.

As the years went by she learnt how to give the client just what they needed and nothing more. Slowly learning what things her employees wanted from her and streamlining her creative process to just get it done, by doing this she managed to climb up the company's ranks and become a full time employee. Gaining both the added security such a job offered her but also the pitfalls that accompanies it.

It wasn’t rare for colleagues who presented the projects to take more credit then they should while Vesper was judged around her workplace as stuck up and cold without a speck of humor. During her early years she attempted to improve her image. Help out more. Take on more unpopular work, but this just made it worse a lot of the time. Her colleagues knowing she was good at her job and willingly to take things they didn’t want to do began to become overly reliant on her to do the work and meet deadlines. More often than not forgetting to give Vesper any actual credit with the clients, since her stuffy personality made it difficult to work her into pitches. This added workload made the job all the worst. Unfortunately she wanted to be seen favorably. So rather than speak up she put her head down and did everything they wanted as efficiently and properly as possible. To add insult to injury her ice queen reputation around work only got worse rather than better as intended.

It was a particularly bad day at work. Exhausted. Stressed. Faced with a new deadline for something her work colleague had all too lovingly ‘forgotten’ to start three weeks back. Mindlessly sitting on the sidewalk with a gelato just wondering where her life had taken her and how miserable it had all become. What was once her passion had extinguished long ago and now she was just trying to get through Friday so she could go home, rest a couple of days with mindless tasks then go back to the same old thing time after time. Getting home that night she toppled back into her seat and looked through her mail. Bills. Of course. All at once it was like the penny dropped and Vesper broke down. Calling her mother in tears, just for a brief respite from the feeling of her disillusion.

A week later a knock on her door caught Vesper off guard. Her parents welcomed themselves in to have a proper discussion with her. Telling her they loved and supported her before laying down that fact’s. That this life was no longer healthy, they wanted her to know that she didn’t have to stay at a job she hated. Nor in a place that she had grown to despise. Once they had finished reassuring her they brought up some information on her mothers phone, a pretty countryside with a somewhat cheap price tag. The place she spent her fond Summers playing at had new land opening up, would she consider giving up her current life to try something new. Vesper was hesitant to agree. It was a big change after all and she really didn’t know what she’d do out there but agreed to keep their proposal in mind and research it some more during the weekend.

The notion of going to a countryside far away was pleasant, even she could admit that, but there were some massive loopholes in her parents' idea. How would she make money being the biggest. She could continue doing art, Vesper supposed, maybe do an art class. No. The thought alone drained her - Vesper’s passion for art had long since burnt out and she needed a break from it being just another day to day job. So that was a massive nope. She wanted to try something new if she did do this. Customer service wasn’t a strong point for her so she doubted things like working in a store or teaching others would be good. Perhaps farming, she was good with plants. Researching what went into growing crops however revealed it was very different from just growing garden variety plants. Honestly the process just didn’t seem interesting to her. Besides. Vesper didn’t want two of her hobbies being ruined by work that tired her out - at least not in the sense that it was all she was doing everyday.

The next thought went to livestock. Her grandparents used to have cattle - perhaps that was the ticket. Vesper’s research once more shot her in the foot, quickly realizing the reality of some of the things she’d need to do in order to care, breed and work with livestock. Nope. She doubted she had the strength let alone the stomach to handle half of what was required. Right. She was just a child back then so she wouldn’t have understood the realities of a rancher. It was a wake up slap that brought her out of the daydream - maybe she should stop thinking childish thoughts of running away from a well paying job to become a farmer. It was just a mid life crisis. Yeah that was it.

Still. The idea of that gentle farm life never went away, though she tried to forget it Vesper still found herself occasionally researching different job ideas or land being sold in the area. Then one day she stumbled upon a YouTube channel of a honey rancher simply going about his job. It was absolutely satisfying to watch. More than satisfying it piqued her interest in a way she hadn't expected, on a surface level at least it seemed different to regular livestock in a way that got her excited for it, likewise the smaller and lighter pokemon meant that physically at least they'd be easier for her to handle alone then say a miltank or Gogoat.  More and more she found herself returning to the idea - with her breaks at work spent googling methods for starting and caring for hives, the best environments to set up such a ranch and the types of honey that came from different bug types. She brought a few books on honey ranching and care guides for the pokemon that she’d heard were best for making honey. Vesper had gone as far as getting in touch with a professional honey rancher that lived just outside the main city - at first just curious about how realistic starting and maintaining a honey farm would be before gradually beginning to genuinely seek advice and guidance.

For the moment it was just a thought at the back of her mind. Though she was putting in effort to learn about ranching bee pokemon it was just that. An nice idea at the back of her mind. Unfortunately for Vesper it only took a couple more months before the straw that broke the camels back decided it was time to give her a push to make that idea a reality. Dragged into her bosses office and balled out for a mistake one of the newer employee’s had blamed on her despite having nothing to do with that particular project. Even as she tried to explain he wasn’t having any of it. Thus she no longer wanted any of it either. Quitting on the spot. Gathering the last of her savings, packing up her belonging and hugging her parents goodbye Vesper took off to Raccolto.

:Talents:

Design || A perk of working for an ad company in her past was she’s now very skilled at designing advertisement and packaging for her products. So while her people skills aren’t great she can non verbally make her products as appealing as possible to make up for it.

Green thumb || A good honey pokemon needs some beautiful flowers around her farm to produce some delicious fresh honey. As of now she only knows how to properly grow more hardy or simple flowers but does have a good instinct for gardening.

Art || Digital, traditional. Vesper had long since forgotten what drew her into art originally. Her job had drained that out of her. Now she’s got the time and scenery however she’s fallen back in love with the medium and still has some skills with oil paints.

Constellations || The daughter of two very passionate astrologists she grew up listening to her parents gush to her about every star, moon and planet. Even years later she remembers the stories of each little star peeking out from the sky.

:FunFacts:

Vesper adores cute things and has a substantial collection of Hello Skitty merchandise and plushies. Unfortunately she’s too embarrassed of anyone finding out about her collection to take them out of the moving box.

She's terrified of heights.

Fond of cottage core and is excited to have a chance to finally wear the clothing styles she prefers rather than suits and sweats. Well if she can ever afford any of the dresses.

Vesper adores children. Unfortunately the feelings not mutual, she doesn't understand how to deal with them and likewise they’re often terrified of her.

When at home or out on her farm she wears a pair of jeans under her skirt so she can remove it and get straight to work in emergencies.

Dreams of saving enough to buy a proper telescope so she can stargaze through the night.

Cradling her hands in front of her is a nervous tick from when she was young that Vesper uses to try calming herself down, though she acknowledges it can make her look even more stuck up.

Vesper can hover but only briefly and only as high as a door frame. Her wings are too delicate and her body too heavy to keep her in the air for long periods. Thus she really only really uses this to descend slowly to the ground from high places.

Loves cute hats. Sunhats specifically. Yet sadly can’t wear them due to her “crown”.
