I have to ask because I just started using poly clay a little while ago, how do you get your lines so perfect?
I love your poly pieces, they look so...amazing.

Thank you. I use scuply poly-clay, I'm going to have to try that.

Nice work, but there was nothing wrong with that ending. If there was, then Blade Runner had a bad ending, which it didn't, no matter what cut you watch. Point is, this is how BioWare wanted to end the series, and you're acting like entitled brats to try and "retake" the game.

Woo, at my age I'm starting to giggle when someone is calling me a 'brat' ;D.
I think the official ReME3 point is that what was advertised pre-launch - was not delivered in game. Hard to argue with that statement, don't you agree? I also don't think we can compare a interactive role playing game and a movie in that matter.
My personal point is: I would think twice and probably didn't play the game if I had known how depressed it would make me in the end. I'm all for mature and adult themes in fiction (as in serious, not as in xxx , althou I don't mind either), but I actively pass at melodramas, horrors and other things that might make me feel depressed. I actually got back on medication after the game because I felt so bad. Am I too fragile emotionally? - aye, probably; but it is good to know that I am not the only one.
I am aware that not much we do in life matters after we die - that's why we have the need for all this power fantasy fiction, hollywood happy endings and the belief that if we sacrifice enough time and effort, some things we create will last longer and matter more than the life of one human being. Seing Shepard, the time, the effort, the hope and sacrifice, and realising that it all was for nothing - was soulcrushing. If Shepard - a hero with training, experience, options of galactic scale and incredible amount of luck - couldn't make a difference for his loved ones, how we - ordinary people with our daily jobs, just fighting to stay above water from month to month financially, with not enough time for creating even if we want to - can believe that we could make a real difference in the world for our childern? That was more or less the message that I got out of the ending.
That is just my personal point of view, you have your opinin, I have mine.
Anyway, thanks for your comment! I just made couple more of those bracelets, with just the N7 logo, without the "hold the line" quote. So if you like the design without the ReME conotation, they will be soon on my etsy .

Well, sometimes things work out like that. No matter how many heroics you perform, things end in disaster any way you slice it. Sometimes, the best you can hope to aim for is mere survival. This is a pretty typical sci-fi message, equal to such classics as "The Cold Equations", and it really shows what kind of ending they had in mind was meant to get folks at least thinking. But I guess that was too much to ask for BioWare fans.

You know, don't take it personally, but "Bioware fans are stupid, I like the ending because I am smart" was discussed to death, so I am just going to ignore that. Personally I don't think of myself as overly intelligent, but with two university masters degrees I think I'm not stupid either (if you ignore my lack of ability to write in english ). I do not understand the ending. I do not believe that it is correct and plausible just because a big company says it is. In my opinion it is not coherent with the other facts and lore Bioware presented in the franchise. And I love complicated universes. Actually my favourite book of all time is "Ideal Imperfection" by Jacek Dukaj. Here is the link to wiki article if you are interested: [link] Now, THAT made me think. Author's concept of Post Human Beings to whom for example gender and age are not relevant, made me read a book about brain chemistry and it's impact on human behaviour. (The implications are incredible, both in the book and in the real life. And if you think of EDI in this light - whoa! )
I also loved Simmons "Hyperion" quadrology. It made me think and read about astrophysics and possibilities in concept of time in the FTL (Faster Than Light) travel. I actually wrote a short story based on the twin paradox .
Mass Effect 3 didn't make me think, it made me go back to anti-depressant medication. Sad but true .
Wait, I actually read something interesting, but it was not after Mass Effect. It was after one of the youtube videos about "why the hell they messed up so badly the ending and used a god-child instead of dark energy that was forshadowed in the first game". Dark energy is the real thing, and for me the more real hard S-F universe - the better.
So, IMO tragic ending was just that - tragic, unfinished, not thinked through, badly executed and not what I paid for. Sorry . But like I said, everyone can have their own opinion .

You should check out the Spoony One's defense of the ending. [link] It's pretty long, but the main points are:
1.The ending is not the betrayal BioWare fans screamed it was
2.The Retake movement is incredibly childish
3.If they don't like the ending, they should remember what nerds of the past did: They'd fight and gripe, bust each other's balls, find interpretations of the ending they felt fit better, and then MOVED ON
4.The Indoctrination Theory is that interpretation, but he figured that out before the credits even rolled

Well, I have seen first 5 minutes of that, and sorry but the sound is so horribly wrong that I can hardly understand what this guy is saying. He shuffles his chair and talks something about his dog?
I do understand that he might have some actual arguments, but I turned him of after him saying something about him being right when the whole world is wrong and "If you don't like the ending you are stupid". That's hmmm... I love to discuss with people but there actually has to be intelligent argumentation. Someone who is not even open for discussion is just getting on my nerves . He knew everything before even credits rolled out? Seriously? He must be either extremly gifted, in this case he is kind of wasting himself makind such videos when he could be working on something really important, or... he is lying to get attention.
That's like I would say that anyone liking the ending is too stupid to understand that his posing as smart is making him look like an idiot. It's like one of people I know showed off the half made painting after her cat pissed on it several times. The paint was damaged but she actually showed it off and there were people who was talking about how artistic it is and why she did this or that, while she laughed her head off. No they didn't understand anything, they just wanted to look smart, and they were too stupid to see that others can see right through their pose .
BUT! I am too well behaved to say something like that, even if I do think something along those lines sometimes because the only people who are afraid to disscuss something are those who don't have any arguments .
Either way, I'm more interested in your points than those of some random guy who cannot even edit his video properly before posting it online >.<.
We got a saying in my country that only cow is not ever changing it's mind, I can change my mind too. The four points you showed me are your opinions but they are not arguments. You can say that for example Retake is childish and I can say that I do not agree. And that will not change unless someone will provide me with an argument that I could accept. With a "why" Retake is childish.
I can understand that some people could actually like the ending. Maybe I am reading too much, but a novel ending with death and destruction became a little cliche lately. Even main character death is not shocking anymore. But anyway, I can't counter argument that was not given .
As for the videos I really like this one, I think this guy have some interesting points [link] I was listening to him while sculpting and really like it, especially his way of remaking the plot based on the original story forshadowed in the first game ^^. Let me know if you find a moment to watch it and what do you think about it.
Sorry for my english, it's really late where I am. No, actually it's starting to be early ^^.

I feel your pain. I'm so depressed over the endings I can't even make myself write thoughts about it in my journal.
It's just good to know we aren't alone... we will hold the line, for what it's worth...
