So you studied Japanese culture...Not very thoroughly. Geisha makeup is /way/ different than this sad attempt. Especially since they only made up their face. The stark contrast between the white of their face and the skin of their neck was a really attractive thing for the men they entertained, so they did nothing to soften it.

I agree... I did not finish my research and I did not say I'm a master in Japanese Culture. I am still studying. The point of my paper was the influence of japans culture on the western civilazation. So indeed I did not completely profound myself in the country's intire culture...
It was just a simple presentation, the makeup was simple and a classmate did it for my presentation. It wasn't precise or anything. I just captured the vibe of the geisha. It's not even a authentic kimono. And I'm not sure about your research or whatever, but they do paint their necks white as well(it does depend on region of the Geisha/Maiko).
Next time please ask before saying something like that. You didn't read my term paper, so you can't possibly know. Thank you.
