She further continues the adventure of Devon Walker, a girl hired to test out a new video game. The book is her adventure within the game, so reading it feels like playing an MMORPG (thus, this is considered a litRPG genre). Carrie requested "a huge, blue, ethereal serpent sapping Devon's mana, reducing her damage". When I think of ethereal, I always think of the ghosts in Ghostbusters, where the shadow area is see-through. I like to use different palettes for each book so they all look different.
