Description this is another one of my series things ^_^
and also focused on stats.
i started thinking about how most pokemon get bigger as they evolve so i wanted to make one that gets smaller, which is where i came up with an idea of a bug that is well rounded, and evolves into many different bugs that are much smaller, but have an epic number in one stat and all other stats are below average. but that was just an idea, this is what came out

so i finally came up with an evolution method
it has to do with the hidden IVs (individual values) that are assigned randomly to each pokemon, the number goes from 0 to 31. the baby will evolve into the form that corresponds to the highest IV it has, so a baby with the defense IV being the highest will evolve into defense form. but since these IVs are not shown, you will not be able to find out what form it will evolve into until it evolves, and then you will know which IV it has the most of. and if it has two or more of the highest, then it will randomly select one trait.
and they are all different pokemon, so they will be given different names

Seems pretty crazy o.o Maybe give it a different ability if it has perfect IVs, but not one that maxes them out for it... can you say broken?

Dude do you know how much effort it takes to get perfect IVs? A broken ability is the perfect reward!

Maybe something that modifies its stats based on its IVs? So in order to maximize the effect, you need perfect IVs?

I have just been bothered that you have to choose EVs but IVs can be perfect...

But it allows flexibility no? People can train their Pokemon however they want, and choice makes room for some unorthodox move sets that catch people off guard

You would still have to EV train every stat... or super train.
