As it's already the 20th in parts of the world, I finished this today.~~Happy Birthday to Aoi~~

Uruha's hands are lovely, indeed! But I still prefer Aoi's over his. XD Uru's have a nice form and his fingers are long, but they give me the impression that they're slightly clumsy! 8D While Aoi's look so gentle and elegant and and delicate and ... omg, I'm melting. *____*~

I noticed you put green in it? I tried this recently since I am trying for more depth....but I stayed to oranges , reds and browns before. Oh , and I relied on way too many pre-mixed colours like 'flesh' tones etc. When I really want to try and create something much deeper. I hope you don't mind , but I might print it out and put it on my wall ^^

Yea, I put green in it, and a little bit of blue, too, but that's REALLY hard to see. I actually have no idea why I do that... it "cools down" the colors or something to me. Actually, I rely a lot on flesh tones, too, but I use some of those other colors because I got used to it. When I first started using colored pencils, I didn't have that many colors, so I had to mix a lot of colors to try and imitate skin tones. I guess it kind of just stuck. So maybe, if you want to try that, limit the colors you use to get practice. :] And if you really want to print it out and put it on your wall, I don't mind at all. In fact, I'm really honored that you would do that.

Yes , green makes it lovely , I love adding different colours....when I'm making black I tend to add a Blue (cobalt blue) and a red underneath as then I can give it some depth , and it really makes the difference for the light reflections too.
My friedn also told me she only uses about 10 pencils max for colouring and ever since then I've tried my best to work that way too ^^ It is so helpful in light layers as then you can use any colours that you wouldn't normally in a skintone as it would be to extreme...i.e. red.

Yea, it really does make a differnce to add a bunch of colors to black to add depth, huh? Adding a lot of colors to anything in fact! Sometimes it can be hard to get the right color combinations, though. >.< 👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Oh wow, 10 pencils? I don't think I could do that! What I usually do is look at the picture I want to draw and try to pick out what colors I see. Then I go through my set and remove only the colors that I think will be used. Makes it easier to carry around the pencils, too, since there are less.
And do I have any plans to draw more J-Rockers? I haven't picked anything for a traditional full-sized portrait yet because I lost a bet to my friend and owe her a drawing of her Korean pop idol. XD Aside from that, I'm working on that drawing for the competition and I just started trying to do a digital portrait of Nao (Alice Nine) since I never tried that before. For a traditional one, though, I haven't really picked. I'm trying to stay away from the GazettE, but this time, I keep getting drawn back to that Uruha. XD Soooo, we'll see~

Yea, I know what you're talking about. One of those Filth in the beauty photoshoots, right? I actually did scratchart of Ruki from that photoshoot, but it's still at school. I'll upload it after I get it back and get a proper scan of it. :3 Anyways, Aoi's such an addiction.

Scratchart? Uh... I'm really, really bad at describing things, but... it's a black piece of paper and you scratch away the black to "draw" if you get what I mean. Well, I'll upload it when I get it back--whenever that is.
