I really like the lack of outlines, as it gives a more realistic feel to it. The hading and lighting effects are interesting and realistic, and the persepctive is great. (Though I'm sure you hear that a lot xD)
The character's facial expression and posture make for a very intriguing picture when combined with the flaming background and the slightly blurred look in the left leg to show motion. It's almost as if he's trying to escape the catastrophe while at the same time trying to be undetected and stay inconspicuous.
