Description
I run a science fiction role-playing game called Starfarer - my own unique fusion of a few different Scifi TTRPGs. One race I have created that are a personal favourite are the hune. They are jelly creatures that naively live in liquid methane. Accordingly they need space suits that are refrigerated, pressurized, and carefully regulated. They use suits with a roughly humanoid shape and mechanical limbs to give them the ability to use tech made by other, more solid races. The heads of their suits are often big sensor arrays and computers that let them process data in a way that makes sense to a methane-breathing jelly. So why not make people comfortable by making the heads roughly human shaped, too?
What I got with all of these ideas is a very fun sort of character to play. Cute, strange, and often surprisingly off the wall.
