Here is my return gift art for *MrMarcusHe did a great little elf gal so in turn I did made his character Katrina Capers a.k.a. The Troublegirl the winner of his prompt to poll. So here she is...I'm not 100% on her legs but I guess they are ok. I want to give a big shout to Kenichi Sonoda in his help with the amazing guns he draws (since I had no gun mags on hand)...Love Gunsmith cats
I know I have a lot of other gifts to draw and I'm going on with them as soon as I can but let me know how this came out.

Hey hotrod5, Thanks. It was easier toning down the background a bit but I added the speed lines to help fill the page...I guess it worked. Yeah I love a woman with guns, too

I'm impressed by the way you have designed this character. Utilising your usual finesse when it comes to figure construction. I imagine that producing an image to this standard is a natural practice for one as talented as yourself. The way you illustrate lips is terrific, their fleshy fullness really defines Katrinas face. More prominently, and importantly, are her eyes, they are large (in cartoon tradition) and express a combination of anger and concentration. Her physique is brilliantly proportioned, I love how you distort her body from conventional to stylised non-convention.
However, as good as this image is, it is certainly not my favourite of your previous deviations that I have viewed. Perhaps I miss your intricately embellished backgrounds, or perhaps I just feel Katrina isn't doing enough. Maybe her pose is too static and rigid. I just feel that the character is wonderfully executed but the environment she has been placed in dulls down her impact. I can't put my finger on it exactly but the arrangement of the composition feels vacuous.
Nonetheless, a great drawing technically. I do envy the way you can generate such an individual style.

Yes this is a bit of a cheat for me with a lacking background, but I was trying to go for less is more fell this time around...hence the speed lines (trying that too (nod to Adam Warren here))...however, I too was being to question her (something missing) as well, but I was trying to bring my style to MrMarcus's character. Yes in someways her pose was to static. Perhaps I needed more shell casings flying into the view's field of vision to help complete the picture...I'm still learning and a long way to go so perhaps in time I can live up to the praise you so kindly give to me my friend. I will always be as constructive as I can when I comment, it helps that I'm a genuine fan of your graphite strokes also. I confess (shamefully) that I did not scrutinise MrMarus's original rendering of Katrina, I have since investigated his gallery and can say without any irony or doubt, you have truly delivered justice to the vision of Ms Capers. By far your illustration of her is (in my opinion) respectfully the strongest version of KC anywhere in MrMarcus' gallery, call me bias.

Ahhhh, man I love it! She looks great....especially with your ability to detail so well. Those guns are excellent and I love the circle effect around them with the bullets flying everywhere. Well done my friend!

I don't know what's more impressive with Gunsmith Cats, the fact that he can draw firearms so well, or that I'm able to ID them so well.
