UPDATE: If you're interested in getting a pattern for this bag, would you be a doll and weigh in on this journal? It would help me a whole lot. ^_^------------------------------------
The first of two subspace suitcases I'm making for a charity auction with Desert Bus for Hope .
This is mostly finished, minus a few tweaks. It also needs a strap (which I will be making from scratch), and some extra BONUS awesomeness, the nature of which shall be revealed at a later date.
The outer fabrics are denim, and the lining is interfaced quilting cotton with a subspace-ey pattern. It has a large interior pocket big enough to hold a 9.5 inch netbook, and smaller pockets for smartphones, mice, pens, etc.
Stars on both sides. Giant hammer not included.

Wicked nice job with the bag, I love how you did the star part of it. That looks so great. I don't know if your interested in making a tutorial on how to make one (I've been looking for one for a while now) but you should totally consider it.

Yep, I am working on adapting the pattern right now, with complete instructions. It will have to be printed out on large format paper - bigger than 11x17 - or pieced together with tape.
Once you have a pattern, its actually easier (IMHO) to make the star this way. Basically, if you can draw a straight line with a ruler and sew a straight line with your machine, you can make this bag.
You can also draft it yourself (and it should become apparent how, once you see the pattern) but it's kind of a PITA.

Fancy printed quilt cotton. I found that stuff in one of my fabric trunks. (Yes, those are a thing.) I think I bought it for the interior of a renfair cloak. This is a much better use for it.
