Sansa Stark, from George R. R. Martin's genius "A Song of Ice and Fire"part 2 of some experiments on no-reference painting, embracing dramatic lighting, and painting from form and color (vs. Sketch)
this is probably the best likeness-capturing portrait i've ever drawn, this is exactly how i see sansa.

I wish people didn't hate on her so much :/. She's on of the only truly sweet characters in the entire series. I know she's naive in the beginning but I've always found her endearing.
I admire her and Arya a lot because as different as they are, they are both able to survive in the most hostile of situations.

haha yes, well, I can't promise you'll grow to love her as I do, because evidence has shown that fans are utterly polarized on the subject of Sansa. I can promise that her story gets a whole lot more interesting, though, and she does grow a lot!

Having just read the part where Joffrey and Margaery get married, I think this really captures the feeling of despair and aloneness that Sansa felt at that moment, having lost everyone she cared about. Poor Tyrion could never make her love him (he was doomed from the start, being a Lannister). Beatiful image xx

haha well no I don't use photo reference, and I think this one came from equal parts lots of practice, and lots of inspiration. That's the magic equation!

ASoIaF is one of my favorite series. I really love how you drew her in this picture, especially with those jewels in her hair. That was a good turning point for her character, I think.

I love it! While the other two have very dramatic/exciting lighting, here I think the lighting is more sweet, but still makes the painting really interesting. I really like the whole thing, especially her eyes and expression. Great work on it!
