Yesterday, splice introduced me to the program Sculptris. I went a little crazy, and did this for ~viergacht 's annual Draw a Centaur Day (April 16, for those who want to do it!). Since I'll have classes all day the 16th, here's my early entry!Related content

Oh wow! How long did this take? I've never used a 3D sculpting program before, but I imagine it would eliminate some of the hassles of clay or stone. (And some of the personality, perhaps, but one can't have everything...)
Your sculpting skills are amazing. He seems like a very believable character, with a good balance of human and horse traits, leaning toward horse. Very appropriate for a centaur!

Hm, I'm guessing this took 2-3 hours. Sculptris is really intuitive once you experiment with all the tools, and I highly recommend it! I'm just happy to have something that works on the logic of sculpting. 2D art is fine, but I like form over color and lighting. I just wish I had a 3D printer, and that it would print from Sculptris. XD

I'd love to mess around with Sculptris, but I might have to put it off until I get a tablet. Do you use a mouse or a tablet for your art?

Oh, I used a mouse for the stuff I've done in Sculptris! I've only very seldom used my tablet.

Thanks for the tip about the tablet. I've imposed a moratorium on new art supplies until I use up some of my current ones, but it looks like a good deal!

It kind of looks like that face is half way pushed out. But then again, you can look at it as a kind of anthro muzzle also
