Mongo is a male Charonosaurus and is the king of the Desert Hadrosaurs who won the right as king after defeating a Shantungosaurus named Scorch. He came to the Valley of Providence after being attacked by Destro the Tarbosaurus many years ago. His son, Gobi, the prince of the herd, is set to be the rightful heir when his father dies. Mongo despises any member of the Tyrannosaur family, but earns their trust after saving them from a pack of Dakotaraptor.
