Description
This is for 's Contest.I decided to do the candy gijinka theme cus I love candy. And I picked skittles just cus I wanted to do rainbow hair. -3- Seriously, I love the way I drew the hair. Makes me wanna have hair like that. All rainbowy and stuffs.
To be honest, I started this a month ago and never looked back at it till now. I had to finish the background and soooo I did, in 5 minutes. And it looks horrible. Crappy background is crappy. o3o
Anyway, I seen other deviant's entries and they all look fabulous! I wish you all luck! Pfffft, I doubt I'm gonna win. But I guess I should enter cus you never know! And well.... I need to draw moarrrr.
Looks kinda dark.....
Stupid scanner.Soooo ummm that's it.

what technique do you use to make it look so life like?

Techniques? Well how should I explain it...
Well, I try to also use different colors for shading. Like instead of darker yellow, I decided to use brown. And in the darkest area on the skin (under neck and etc.), I decided to use a dark red or maroon.
And I use some kind of soft shading technique, if that's what you'd call it. I first apply the base color. I shade with a darker shade of that color in areas that would need shading. And around that area, I would color a bit softer to try to blend it with the base color. And well, that probably didn't make any sense.

Her hair looks amazing. *U* Your coloring/shading looks so perfect TAT...
I'm probably missing something really important/obvious, but why is the purple part of the rainbow partially missing? Is it because the skittles are coming out of the rainbow? If so, then why aren't they purple?

Haha thank you. And I thought someone would notice that. xD The rainbow is still forming I guess. Skittles are coming out of the rainbow, but since the purple part of it isn't really formed, there isn't any? xD Sorry, I never really thought about these things. I like your theories. xD

This is so beautifully colored! I love the attention to detail shown here. The shading was done perfectly. *Adds to Favorites* Her shoulders seem a bit tense, but I still like this very much.
