Why didn't they use Godzilla suit for the new film Godzilla 2014 Reboot? Why was Godzilla CGI? Godzilla is not supposed to be CGI. He was never CGI in Toho's Godzilla Film Franchise. Godzilla was supposed to be played by an actor in a suit. That's everyone favorite. Let me guess it's the year 2015 and we're in 2010s. In 2010s they no longer had person in a suit and animatronic for the movie anymore in these day. That's old school and retro. No wonder I didn't see any Godzilla suit in Behind the scenes Godzilla 2014 Reboot video on YouTube. I was wondering where was the heck is the Godzilla suit when I watched behind the scenes video. And then my thought was that maybe they didn't want to show the fans the new Godzilla suit because it will be a spoiler or something. My second thought was that they hadn't film the stunt stages fight scene where Godzilla suit fight a giant monster. But it turned out that there was never a Godzilla suit at all in the new movie. I can't believe the director and the crew members didn't want to use the suit this times. They ruined Godzilla. But at least they used the Godzilla suit in Godzilla 1998 Remake film. That's a good thing.

well, its 2015, if the director and film makers go to the "traditional" way, i guess it will cost more than CGI and also will not look like what common people expect. Maybe as Godzilla fans we want to see a man with the suit or animatronics. Still the main reason is, nowadays, people want to be simple, do the easy way, cheap on budget and create more money

I see. But I bet they'll do Godzilla suit this time in the upcoming film Godzilla 2 that set to release on Friday, June 8th, 2018. They got to do Godzilla suit this time. Everyone prefer the suit than CGI. Just like PBS Kids Sesame Street. They still use puppet and animatronic as of today. They didn't even rid of get it. It hadn't even got outmoded.

I'm pretty sure They'll learn from their mistakes. I mean those Godzilla 2014 crew members and directors are perfect. They should be ashamed of themselves for what they've done to Godzilla 2014.

Well it does give Godzilla a more "mythical"! I like it, but why is it so small?

I think it would've made sense if the atomic breath was blue/cyan along with the glow on his back.

This movie so good that not only it gave me the chills and loving the action, But it got the TOHO company to watch it and emailed the director, Gareth Edwards, saying, ".They saw it yesterday and they thought it was fantastic! So that was a relief"

I know, alot of godzilla fans have complained that his head seems too small compared to the rest of his body and that he is too fat.

I like to think that this is a true American Godzilla, FAT! Once I saw the movie, it dispelled all my negative feelings about the Big Guy. Though the movie could have used more Cranston, 5 min more of Godzilla and 5 less min of a guy on train trying to get back to SF!

Roland Emmerich (The director of Godzilla 1998) admitted that he regrets that he directed Godzilla 1998 because he didn't care about the Godzilla franchise and he never once saw a Godzilla movie, he only directed the for two reasons...money and name recognition.

I know, he also should've given his own monster it's own identity instead of having it live in Godzilla's shadow, using his name to get attention without caring about his own monster just makes me sick to my stomach.
