This is the famous state hotel of Imatra. 12th of May 2012 - 1:27pm.I have always admired the old postcards and photos of this hotel and now I made my own.
This frame has 5 individual pictures stacked on top of each other in Hugin - Panorama photo stitcher.
I removed colors and added sepia tone in Photoshop.
I like the errors on the corners. Apparently they are caused by lens distortion caused by a cheap kit lens. In my opinion it creates a perfect effect of an old photograph/postcard.

I don't have the D3100 anymore, I updated my gear to D7100. But majority of my photos on this page is taken with D3100 and either with 18-55 or 55-200mm lens.

D7100 has a lot of upgraded functions and adjustment possibilities. It is more dynamic what the D3100 was. But very pricey - the body alone is close to 1000 dollars. But I think for me it was a great investment. I'll probably do fine with this camera for many many years.

This picture looks fantastic! I like the effects you used to make it look like an old picture and the building itself is just gorgeous. I could study it's details all day and can only imagine how much better it looks in real life.

Yes, it's a beautiful building. It's an art nouveau/jugend styled castle which was finished in 1903. Perhaps the most famous thing in my hometown.

I don't know what Perth is famous for. Being windy all the time; being the most isolated city in the world and probably for how flat our landscape is. And perhaps for the beach sand which is our soil for the entire western strip of the metro area.

Olen nähnyt Valtionhotellista paljon kuvia, mutta harvoin näin edustavia. Tässä otoksessa kaunis arkkitehtuuri pääsee mielestäni oikeuksiinsa. Jälkikäsittelystä tykkään myös kovasti. Melkein voisin erhetyä luuleemaan autenttiseksi vanhaksi postikortiksi, jos en paremmin tietäisi. Värisävy, valaistus, kuvakulma, kaikki on vaan perfect.

Minunkin mielestä, vaikka itse sanonkin, tämä on hyvin edustava kuva Valtionhotellista.
Tästä kuvakulmasta en ole montaa kuvaa, jos ollenkaan nähnyt, vaikka omasta mielestä tämä on kaikkeista hienoin kulma.
Tosin, tämä kulma on melko haastava, koska tässä ei ole paljoa liikkumavaraa Vuoksen takia ja toiselta puolen oksat tulee eteen häiritsevästi.
Tässä on melkein pakko yhdistää 3 tai enempi kuvia, jotta saisi koko rakennuksen kuvaan kokonaan, mutta kuvien yhdistäminen luo erilaisen perspektiivin, joka painottaa rakennuksen korkeutta.
