So this is pretty much all I got done this summer... but I'm headed for a big move, and should be a lot more productive in the near future (I'll be holed up in the middle of nowhere Ohio, so I'm hoping I'll be motivated simply out of boredom!). Anyway, just shot this with my little digital camera, so not the best pic, but I'm much too poor at the moment to get it professionally shot. Oils on canvas, as usualRelated content

This is my favorite piece from your gallery. I fell in love with her expression. I can't take my eyes off it. I want to hang this in my living room and stare at it for eternity. I can't give you any creative criticism since I'm enchanted by this image. I can only tell you I love it. Marvelous work!

The shading above the brows is wonderful; there is so much emotion there, and I love the reddening of the eyes. The deep blues and purples are striking, and I really like how there are subtle hues of blue and green in the pale hair. The focal point is made perfectly.

Thank you!! This is one of those rare paintings (for me) that turns out exactly how you pictured it. That NEVER works out when I paint, and I have yet to have that happen again since.
